OUR INVOLVEMENT WITH RESEARCH
The research into a potential treatment for Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease has made some huge advancements in recent years. At The CATS Foundation we are actively involved in the work being undertaken for various treatments for Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease. mIn addition to being the nominated patient organisation for a Gene Therapy Trial for GM2 Gangliosidosis being undertaken at The University of Cambridge, the charity is also heavily involved with various projects throughout the world via the European Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff Charity Consortium (ETSCC). mYou can find all the updates relating to the research and a potential trial below and all you have to do is click in the article which is of interest.

Dear CATS,
We live in Canada where we donate to a specific charity (Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto) on a monthly basis. For seniors (or anyone living on a restricted budget), this is a much easier way to donate. Our granddaughter lives in England and has Juvenile Tay-Sachs disease. We would like to set up a monthly donation to your organization to be applied specifically to Tay-Sachs research projects. Please advise if this would be possible in England and, if so, how to proceed. Thank you for your fine work.
Since all the turmoil surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, I admit to having lost track of some of my correspondence concerning our ongoing donation to CATS Foundation. Please advise how our donation is registered with you, for what sum and whether monthly or yearly. Sorry for this inconvenience but we want to make sure our donation is properly set up.
Thank you and stay safe!
