The weekend at The Bluebells in Hampshire is one of the highlights of our year. It is a wonderful place, developed and run by the charity Sebastian’s Action Trust and enables young people with life limiting conditions and their families to have a supported break in a truly relaxing setting. Since 2019 The CATS Foundation has been able to secure private use of Bulebells for our families to send time together in its safe and relaxing environment.
A respite weekend together
Once a year the CATS Foundation families are invited to stay providing a welcome restorative break away from the stresses that go along with caring for a child with a complex medical condition. During the weekend families can access the hydrotherapy pool, music therapy room and sensory rooms in addition to the wonderful outdoor spaces. On the Sunday of the weekend we hold our annual Sibling event where we invite additional families to join us for a day of fun and social interaction and support. This event enables affected individuals, their siblings and families to connect in a safe environment, forging relationships to support them through their journey with Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff Disease.
Our annual weekend at Bluebells is a fantastic opportunity for our families to spend quality time together.

Goals
