5km run for the CATS Foundation – Update

Thank you to those of you who have signed up to do the 5km race for THE CATS FOUNDATION – here is an update for the event! Those of you who are yet to do this there is still time to sign up easily here.

Sponsorship for the 5km run

We have had people ask us about getting sponsored to run the 5km so I have put a sponsorship form together which you can use to collect donations. To receive a copy please contact us stating you would like the form and we can email this to you.

As we are still in the process of getting the charity registered (this takes ages!) we are not yet able to use the online fund raising tools like Just Giving.

If you use the sponsorship form to collect donations you can then directly donate this money to the charity by either bank transfer, PayPal (stating that the donation is for he 5km run) or going into Lloyds bank and putting it straight into the charity account.

To get these details fill in the form requesting the charity bank details and they will be sent to your email address.

Plan for the day

The 5km run is scheduled to start at 13:30. We will be there from 12:00 and will set up a section near the start/finish line.

If you look out for THE CATS FOUNDATION logo you will be able to find us as we will be setting up our banner with it on!

How to get there

Instructions for getting to Hackney Marshes are below.

Closest underground stations

• Leyton (Central Line) and Stratford (Jubilee and Central Line)
• From Leyton take bus W15 towards Pembury Road (from stop C) or bus 308 towards Clapton Park (from stop B)
• From Stratford tube station walk to Angel Lane (3 minutes) and take bus 308 towards Clapton Park (from bus stop U)

Closest overground stations

• Homerton Station
• Hackney Wick Station

Both of the above stations are on the London Overground Line and are located 1 mile from the Hackney Marshes Centre.

You can also take a taxi from Stratford Railway/Tube station to the Hackney Marshes (3.1 miles).

T-shirt collection

You will be able to pick up your t-shirt once you arrive. All we ask is you make a small donation to the charity on the day to cover the cost of getting them made. We will also have wrist bands for sale!
