The Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation was started in 2011 after Daniel and Patricia Lewi’s daughter Amelie was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs. At the time, there was no dedicated charity specific to the disease.
It has been an incredible journey that the charity has been on since we were launched with as many highs as lows. Many families have been helped and we are close to finding an effective treatment for the disease.
