Our mission
The Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation supports families affected by Tay-Sachs by providing equipment, information and funding respite. The charity is dedicated to finding a treatment for the disease and funds the research into this directly.
Our mission is simple – we want to find a an effecctive treatment for the disesase and will not stop in the fight against Tay-Sachs. To achieve this we set three aims for The CATS Foundation.
Our aims
- Raise awareness of TaySachs and its associated diseases (such as Sandhoff disease) to the public by providing relevant information on our website
- Raise money for the research into the diseases for a potential treatment
- Provide an information resource centre, buy lasix furosemide online support network and equipment for families affected by the disease
Our charities objectives?
- Supporting the research for the public benefit into the causes, prevention, diagnosis and methods of treatment of Tay-Sachs
- Provision of a support network for families suffering from the effects of Tay-Sachs, including but not limited to, provision of respite holidays for suffers
- The purchase of equipment not available on the NHS to alleviate suffering and improve conditions of life
How does the charity meet the objectives?
To meet the objectives The CATS Foundation undertakes many fundraising activities to raise funds and also awareness of the disease.
In addition, the charity also visits schools to educate children about the disease to help raise awareness. This has led to The CATS Foundation being adopted as three schools official charity who they raise funds for.
